Below, we present some typical Venezuelan dishes that you absolutely must try in
SAFRANERA CAFETERIA
Venezuelan Creole Pavilion
The Venezuelan Pabellón Criollo is the most well-known national dish. It's a tricolor dish containing shredded beef, white rice, and black beans, along with sweet, fried plantains topped with grated cheese and a fried egg. This dish is prepared with natural ingredients and takes several hours to cook, resulting in an exceptional flavor. It's the signature dish offered by Safranera, a symbol of Venezuelan identity, and a favorite among many customers, available year-round.

Venezuelan Empanadas
Venezuelan empanadas are a staple of the country's cuisine. Very common throughout Venezuela, they are known for their versatility. Made with corn flour, they become crispy on the outside and soft on the inside when fried. They are filled with a variety of ingredients, such as chicken, beef, fresh white cheese, and black beans. They are an excellent choice for breakfast, tapas, or as an appetizer to share. At Safranera, we offer empanadas filled with shredded chicken or beef, dominoes (black beans and cheese), fish, vegan options, and the delicious Pabellón empanada.
Venezuelan Arepas
Venezuelan arepas are a type of bread made from yellow corn dough, distinguished from Colombian arepas by their fillings of special ingredients. At Safranera, we offer a wide variety of flavors such as Reina Pepiada, Sifrina, Pabellón, Pelúa, Rumbera, Llaneras, and others added to our vegan menu, including Domino, Huevos Perico, Pico de Gallo, and Veganas. We also offer wheat arepas, a specialty of the Venezuelan Andes.
